This weekend is going to be one of the busiest weekends in the last quarter of the year for me. So much to do and I fear not enough time to do it in.
Friday: The Parshall Braves (my high school alma mater) will be playing in the 9-man State Class B Football Tournament. I am so going to be there!
Saturday: Pangaea – Cultivate Our Cultures at the Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Center in Moorhead. This is going to be a full day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We have the Vietnamese Dragon Dancers, Souri Rosvot (I think I spelled that wrong: The Finnish Robbers) band, Dancers from India, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Native American Fancy Shawl, Mexico (Roots from Mexico of Moorhead), and featuring Mariachi Mexico from Minneapolis.
There will be an international fashion show, almost 40 cultural exhibits, craft vendors, children’s activities and 10 traditional food vendors Blintzes anyone? Crepes? Egg Rolls, Won Tons and Lo Mein? Native American Fry Bread?
Pangaea – Cultivate Our Cultures is a family event that is free and open to the public for the 16th year in Fargo-Moorhead. (Food is extra).
Saturday Evening: If I don’t collapse from exhaustion after Pangaea; I might head on over to Fiesta de Mujeres at the Plains Art Musuem celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Mujeres Unidas / Women United of Moorhead. Mariachi Mexico will also be playing this event. Tickets will be available at Pangaea at the Mujeres Unidas booth as well as at the door.
Sunday: Go to Church; then my daughter’s organization has a meeting in the afternoon.
Monday: Back to work.
As they say, there’s no rest for the weary; I’ll sleep when I’m dead!
I hope everyone has a great weekend too!
